Billing and Credit management
Phacet gives you full visibility over your subscription, billing, and AI credit usage—so you can scale confidently, without surprises.
This guide covers how credits are consumed, how to track usage, and how to adjust your plan as your needs evolve.
Plans, Users, and Credit Allocation
Phacet offers different plans, each including a number of seats (users) and a monthly allowance of AI credits, giving your team the flexibility to build, run, and scale AI workflows at your pace.
👤 User Roles
Each user is assigned one of three roles:
- Admin – Full control: manage billing, invite users, configure Phacets, and purchase extra credits.
- Builder – Create and set up Phacets, manage collaborators, and run AI tasks.
- User – Access and use shared Phacets.
💳 Credit Allowance
Every plan includes a monthly AI credit allowance, which renews automatically:
- Credits reset at your monthly renewal date (no rollover).
- This applies whether you're on a monthly or annual subscription.
- You can top up anytime by purchasing extra credits—they never expire.
Need more flexibility?
Enterprise plans offer custom credit allocations and renewal terms. Standard renewal logic may not apply.
Understanding Credit Consumption
AI credits are only consumed when you use the AI Tool, including its advanced options: AI Learning and AI Citation.
Credit consumption varies based on the size of the data and complexity of the task:
- Heavier documents (e.g. contracts, reports) require more processing and therefore more credits.
- Multiple extractions per item (e.g. extracting 10 fields from a contract) increases the total consumption.

These benchmarks help you estimate usage and scale responsibly.
The more operations per file or row, the higher the credit usage—so fine-tune your AI setup for maximum efficiency.
Tracking Credit Usage
You can monitor your current credit balance at any time.
- Get to the Credits section in the left-hand menu.
- Check your remaining balance
- A warning will appear automatically when your balance is running low.

When your credit balance hits 0, users can still use Phacet, but AI tasks will be paused. An Admin user must either purchase extra credits or wait for the next renewal.
Purchasing Extra Credits
Running low before your reset or expecting a spike in activity?
You can top up your credits by purchasing additional buckets. These credits don’t expire and remain available until used.
🙋♀️ Only Admins can initiate purchases by contacting Phacet's Sales team directly. Not an admin? Reach out to someone in your workspace who is.
Top-up credits are invoiced immediately, unless custom billing terms apply under an Enterprise plan.
Billing & Subscription Management
All billing controls are available to Admins in the Settings menu.
From there, you can easily:
- Review your subscription details, including your current plan & price
- Update your billing information — company name, VAT number, and billing address.
- Change your payment method, choosing between credit card or wire transfer.
- Download invoices whenever needed, directly from your billing history.
